More than 1500 people meet together in Cheshire Hawassa Walk.
Cheshire Hawassa held its annual fundraising walk on Sunday 23rd of December. In its 11th edition, the walk has brought together thousands of people from all walks of life.
Director of Hawassa City Labor and Social Affairs Petros Yohannes launching the event underlined the need to focus on disability inclusion as part of the nation building process.
He also appreciated the successes of Cheshire Ethiopia in helping people with disabilities create equal opportunities to participate in every aspect of their lives.
More than 1500 participants, among with people with disabilities, from in and around Hawassa City, children, adults, representatives of different governmental and non-governmental offices partook in the walk.
After the walk, all participants were gathered at Cheshire Hawassa Center whereby different recreational, awareness creation and sport activities occurred.
