Monitoring & Evaluation Conducted
A monitoring and evaluation of mothers of children with disabilities trained by CE-MRC was carried out at Tullubollo, Woliso and Wolkite towns from August 29-31/2024. The training goal was to equip mothers with the knowledge and skills they would need to care for their children and advocate for their rights and needs in the society.
The follow up visit was aimed to evaluate the impact of trained mothers on their children’s well-being and their contribution to the society, particularly in terms of providing help to other mothers dealing with the same situation and simultaneously, basic refreshment training was given. In this regard, the monitoring team was able to observe the mother’s knowledge and attitude have improved, and they are now giving their children the assistance and care they need. Furthermore, they also established a network with other mothers of children with disabilities and sharing their knowledge and experience.
